Food for Thought is located near Empire, MI. We produce high volume batches of food products and package them for sale in stores. (Caramels, salsas, jams, jellies, preserves, and mustards to name a few.) We are in operation full time from June through January, with reduced operations from February through May.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

-Must work well with others with a teamwork mindset.
-Basic food safety knowledge.
-Able to learn how to safely operate production equipment.
-A working knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate, and the ability to read and write accurate, legible records.

Physical Requirements:

-Have reliable transportation, punctual, and dependable.
-Ability to work in an environment that requires attention to detail, safety, fast paced work, and repetitive movements with both arms/hands.
-Can stand for a 9+ hour work day (on feet two to three hours at a time with breaks in between).
-Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
